We aim to support the alignment of educational provision with the needs of the business environment in the ICT sector, as well as to organize training, qualification, and professional development programs open to the specialized staff of Cluster members.
Who We Are
The ICT industry cluster, the "Lower Danube IT&C Cluster" Galați, was established in 2015 and aims to:
- Creating a favorable environment for the sustainable development of its members;
- Facilitating the formation of the Cluster and supporting its long-term development;
- Increasing research and development (R&D) capacity, stimulating cooperation between research, development and innovation (RDI) institutions and enterprises, and increasing enterprises’ access to RDI;
- Harnessing the potential of information and communication technologies and applying it in the public sector (administration, education, healthcare) and the private sector (businesses, citizens);
- Creating the conditions for increasing the competitiveness of ICT companies through intensive knowledge-based development;
- Increasing the regional competitiveness of IT education;
- Identifying and promoting initiatives that generate innovative products and services;
- Generating research, development, and innovation projects with the support of Cluster members;
- Assisting public institutions in increasing efficiency and productivity;
- Creating mechanisms for the collaborative development of large-scale international projects;
- Representing the interests of the ICT sector before government authorities;
- Supporting entrepreneurship and ICT SMEs in the region;
- Attracting resources (investments, venture capital funds, etc.) for the development of the sector;
- Identifying and promoting public and private investment projects, as well as proposals for the modernization and improvement of ICT strategies, policies, and action plans;
- Promoting the development of a cluster-oriented industrial policy at national and European levels;
- Strengthening cooperation among various stakeholders in the information and communication technology sector through the exchange of information and ideas, as well as through joint activities.
